Senior adults working for Jesus Christ and others!
Our purpose is to develop Great Commission Christians and glorify God in all that we do. Our objectives are to work in our community and support our local and foreign Baptist missionaries to accomplish the great commission objectives (Acts 2:42-47, Matthew 28:18-20). Church membership is not required. As long as one spouse of a married couple is age 50 or older, both are eligible for participation.
We would love to have you visit one of our entertaining dinner meetings. We enjoy catered foods. Meetings are held on the fourth Friday evening of each month at 6:30 pm. and reservations are required by calling the Church Office (770-922-2027).
We often enjoy road trips to various attractions in the Atlanta and surrounding areas, such as Calloway Gardens, the Biltmore House, Savannah, Stone Mountain and others. Our Prime Timers Choir is led by Minister of Music Scott Fraser, and we have performed at various churches and nursing homes throughout the local area. The ability to sing is not a “requirement”; just a desire to “make a joyful noise unto the Lord.”
Our basic areas of service
- WORSHIP: To foster and encourage personal worship as senior adults and to lead by example in participation and cooperation in corporate worship by supporting the worship activities of the church with our presence, tithes and prayers.
- EVANGELISM: Annually our leadership team shall select several mission areas to focus on during the year. Committees shall be appointed to manage the outreach activities with the intent of showing a verbal witness.
- MINISTRY: Our ministries include; Nursing Homes; Homeless Shelters; Refuge Crisis Centers; assistance to new church starts; mentoring; tutor-ing or any number of mission activities as the need arises.
- DISCIPLESHIP: Our Discipleship Committee leads in the training of our members to expand and apply our knowledge of the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- FELLOWSHIP: We hold regular general meetings and provide programs with timely information for seniors and an opportunity for bonding and fellowship with each other.
