Dr. Doug Ferguson was ordained in 1981 at The Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Easley, South Carolina, becoming a full-time senior pastor at the age of 22. Since that time he has served the Lord for more than 30 years in South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina as both senior pastor and evangelist.
Pastor Doug earned his Associate of Religion in 1981 at the Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute. Further education was obtained at the Southern Baptist School for Biblical Studies in 1985 with a Bachelor of Ministry; Master of Bible in 1988; and Doctor of Ministry in 1994. He has also attended classes at the Southern Baptist Seminary Extension; Luther Rice Seminary; and Toccoa Falls College.
At the age of 18, Pastor Doug was convicted of his sin and lost condition. Reading Matthew’s account of the crucifixion he realized that his only hope for forgiveness and eternal life would be through faith in the One that died for his salvation, was resurrected from the grave, and would be the Lord of his life. Following his acceptance of the salvation of Jesus Christ, he progressively grew in his awareness of God’s call placed upon him to become a preacher of truth and a pastor to His people.
Pastor Doug and Joan have been married for almost 33 years and have two married daughters, three granddaughters and one grandson. Joan was brought up in the church, as her father was a music minister, and she became a follower of Christ as a teenager. She is a loving, supporting wife to Pastor Doug’s ministry. Joan attended Truett-McConnell College. For seven years she was the director of music ministries at their most recent church and loves to share her faith and Christ’s light through the gift of music He has given to her. Joan has been the featured soloist at meetings of The Christian Women’s Club and at other similar venues. In addition to church music, she has been involved in many aspects of Pastor Doug’s ministry, such as assisting her husband in various pastoral care ministries, teaching Sunday School, and working with children.
Dr. and Mrs. Ferguson enjoy being with their daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren, Clemson University football, working in their yard, and exercising at a local gym. |

Thomas A. Broadhead, Associate Pastor/Minister of
Education |
I was born and grew up in Meridian, MS where I met and married Linda. As an older teenager, I trusted Christ as Savior and Lord at 17 years of age. Over all those years I have served churches in MS and have been Associate Pastor at Heritage Hills since January of 2005. Linda graduated from MSU, taught elementary school for years, and I graduated from Mississippi College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
We have two married children and five grandchildren. Linda is my best friend and we enjoy our West Highland White Terriers together. My hobby is web site design and maintenance.
I believe it is the responsibility of every Christian to share the Gospel of Christ. We are all on mission. We are responsible to lead by example, to disciple believers in their personal walk with Jesus, and equip them to share their faith with others. Our passion as a church family should be to “Know Him and Make Him known.”
My favorite passage is Matthew 28:19-20:
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe everything
I have commanded you. And remember, I
am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Andy Futch,
Student Minister |
Andy has been active in ministry for over
10 years and Minister of Family Life and Activities of Heritage Hills since
January of 2000. He is a graduate of University of Texas and Southwestern
Theological Seminary. He and his wife Heather have been married for over 13
years and have two children, Elizabeth and Malachi.
Andy enjoys spending time with his family,
the outdoors, wood working, and working around the house.
Understanding what God has brought him
through and knowing that it is only by His strength that he can get through each
day, one of the verses he has always loved is Joshua 1:9:
"Haven't I commanded you: be strong and courageous?
Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is
with you wherever you go."

Scott Fraser, Minister of Worship and Music |
Scott has been in active ministry for 23 years, serving churches in Texas, Missouri, and Mississippi. He joined the ministry team at Heritage Hills Baptist Church in April of 2007. Before coming to Heritage Hills, Scott served as Minister of Music for eight years at Calvary Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas, ten years at First Baptist of Fenton. He served on the staff at Missouri Baptist University for two years. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University, receiving a Bachelor’s of Music Education. He also is a graduate of New England Conservatory of Music where he received a Master’s of Music and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a Master’s of Religious Education.
Scott and his wife Priscilla have been married for 22 years. Priscilla sings in the choir, serves as Children's Choir Coordinator, and is presently pursuing her nursing degree at Georgia Baptist College of Nursing/Mercer University. They have been blessed with twin sons, Stephen and Timothy, homeschooled completely, and are now attending Liberty University studying for the ministry.
Scott believes that music ministry at any church exists to glorify God and to invite others to seek God whole heartedly. “Worship is not about us, it’s all about HIM.” The Word of God, in Isaiah 26:8, says “Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.” Let this be said of all of us. |

AJ and Pam Jones
Upwards Ministry
|
AJ was raised in Fitzgerald, Ga, the oldest of four kids, by Reverend Herbert and Angeline Jones. He began serving in Children’s Ministries at age 20 teaching kids the fundamentals of basketball, football and softball. His combined love of children and sports led his family to serve at Mount Moriah BC of Tucker in 1998 and has continued at Heritage Hills for the last five years.
AJ and Pam have been married for 14 years. Pam has served in Children’s Ministries for over 18 years. She teaches Sunday School and Bible Explorers at Heritage Hills and has also directed Awana programs for 10 years. Because of her love for Christ, children and her best friend AJ she has participated in Upwards for the last 5 years. Together they have six children: Arnel, Jalesa, Michael, Elena, Ariana, and Arnold, Jr.
Always remembering we serve an awesome God, AJ and Pam cling to 1 Chronicles 29:11-12, “Yours is the mighty power and glory and victory and majesty. Everything in the heavens and earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as being in control of everything. Riches and honor come from you alone, and you are the Ruler of all mankind; your hand controls power and might, and it is at your discretion that men are made great and given strength.” LB
